Prayer

My prayer from my bible study on the Fruit of the Spirit:

This morning I am literally charging up the mountain path -- avoiding all the switchbacks placed in my way.  I am following after You, Jesus - propelled along by the power of Your Holy Spirit.  I am not seeking after reward, fame, security - all the things the world values.  I am seeking after love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and self control.  I am looking out with renewed eye's, renewed hope, and my faith is being lifted up on eagle's wings.

I pray for the fruit of the Spirit to penetrate every fiber of my being.  Wake me up -- restore my peace -- empower me through the power of the Holy Spirit within.  Free me from fears and teach me Your ways!  May I rejoice in You.

"Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again - Rejoice!  Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything. by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of god which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."  Phil 4:4-7
